Getting Oxfordshire Online is a partnership managed by charities SOFEA, Aspire and Bicester Green, with support from our network of partners and funders.

Our Story

Getting Oxfordshire Online was set up in 2021 by Oxfordshire Community Foundation, supported by seed funding from Our Common Good and Oxfordshire County Council. SOFEA are now the lead partner, working with Aspire and Bicester Green in the management team, supported by a network of partners.

The pandemic was a stark reminder of the importance of digital inclusion, and there was an initial focus on supporting schools who were working hard for children to access their education at home.

As we have moved on from the pandemic, it’s become clear where in the community people were already struggling and we have worked with a growing network of local organisations to help reduce barriers for people.

Our impact reports and case studies give more information about how we’re helping with devices, data and support.
